More christening photos and Oli and Ali's new toy!
The Godparents did a fantastic job at keeping our twins quiet through the service.
Well, we got Oliver and Alegra a new toy (a type of exersaucer, but shaped like a car) which they took to immediately, Oliver ready to drive and Alegra ready to be driven.
The proud Godparents!!!! Well, last Saturday was such a special day for Alegra and Oliver as they had they orthodox christening. We had over 30 people at the church coming to celebrate our twins dedication and commitment to God!! We were looking forward it, more like a social event and a chance to catch up with everyone and have a heck of a party, but the night before it hit me that it was very symbolic, so I woke up at 3am on Saturday morning, and couldn't sleep anymore ( if the twins tried to wake me up I would have been rather upset at them, but no they were good, and woke up as usually at 7am)
Well, the ceremony was amazing, we had two priests, an old and experienced one and a new one (it was his first baptism, and he said he was very honored to be part of it) and Alegra and Oliver behaved superbly. For the whole time ( and hour and a half service) they looked around in their Godparents' arms)
Not even the water scared them, Oliver probably thought it was bath time, with daddy! By the way daddy was rather emotional, but tried to be strong, as he was filming and didnt want to ruin the DVD.
Everyone came home and we partied up till very late, while the kids played, got fed by lots of people, and smiled at everyone.
We are now getting excited about their second Catholic Christening in Tassie in April. The twins are so special to so many people that we decided that they will embrace our both religions, and choose whatever they want later on...so Aaran's family is eagerly waiting for us....and we are eagerly waiting for a holidayand for the twins to meet their great grandma and their auntie, uncles and cousins. The two priests at the start of the service!!
Alegra gets ready to be baptised!
Oliver AND Alegra are given the holy touch. Oliver (hand in his mouth) is thinking bathtime...
